Specialization course – Ship agent

The occupation of ship agent is subsequent to the conclusion of an agency contract between a Romanian economic agent and the shipowner / operator / manager of the ship. To this end, the economic agent (the shipping company) designates a ship agent who will represent the shipping company in its relations with the ship, and who necessarily knows all national and international regulations regarding naval transport. Within the limits of the shipping company’s power of attorney, the ship agent complies with the legal provisions governing the activity of the Port Authorities and communicates to the ship’s master the legal provisions applicable in the field of naval transport in Romania.
